Katta
Katta is is a search grid, built on top of Apache Hadoop, Lucene and Zookeeper. It serves very large indexes as index shards on many servers and replicates shards on different servers for performance and fault-tolerance. The master provides plug-able shard distribution schemas. The search client has plug able node selection schemas for selection low latency nodes. Both together easily allows to run Katta distributed over different racks, for example in a data center.
